Accent Gold has contributed hundreds of hours volunteering for HOPE over the years.

HOPE Worldwide India Programs

Children - HOPE foundation through its children related programs, like the child survival program, Asharan orphanage and the malnutrition control program in Delhi, AIDS Home of HOPE and child care in pediatric ward in Chennai, and midday meal programs at various locations aims at providing basic relief and amenities to the deprived children.

Education - HOPE foundation has opened nursery and primary schools, non-formal schools, education and tuition centers in some of the most inadequate and deprived localities. These schools aim to provide free education to the children affected by poverty, calamity or child labor. We also aim to provide quality education coupled with the all-round development of the children.

Employment - At HOPE foundation, we aim to empower young men and women through short-term courses that will lead to their getting sustainable jobs as well as boost their earnings. Some of these courses are tailor-made as per the requirements of the particular area where they stay, as well as the demand for people empowered with certain skills.

Health - HOPE foundation provides healthcare facilities to the poor and downtrodden through its primary health clinics, leprosy clinic, tuberculosis control program, cancer detection program and HIV/AIDS Targeted Intervention programs. In the year 2006, close to 200,000 people were touched directly through our healthcare initiatives.

Seniors - Till 1999, the Government did not have a policy for senior citizens. Only government servants are entitled to pension. This means that literally 70 per cent of the Indian population gets no pension. Most senior citizens are dependent on their savings or their provident fund and gratuity, whose value is shrinking by the day. An Old Age Home run by the HOPE foundation in the city of Kochi in Kerala is an attempt to provide care, love and refuge to the abandoned senior citizens.

The Kolkata Center of HOPE (a part of HOPE Worldwide, hopeww.org) is a non-government organization, which helps under-privileged kids of the third world region to obtain basic education & healthcare. The center also provides a computer training and spoken-english course for the local villagers (youths) to help walk towards a brighter career. The Center is open for volunteering (teaching / medical service etc). Experience certificates are issued only on request. Happy viewing. (Shot in the Kids School, Village of Champahati).

Sihanouk Hospital in Phnom Penh

The Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE worldwide is a general hospital for the poor in Cambodia, providing further training for Cambodian medical staff. In 2001, 230 national and 20 international staff worked together to provide almost 300 consultations daily. Our Cambodian medical staff of 120 includes 25 physicians, eight surgeons and 70 nurses. All are growing in knowledge, responsibility, and clinical experience, thereby, increasing our capacity to care for patients with complex problems.

Patients enter the hospital system through the outpatient clinic or Emergency Room. The medical and nursing staff manage the majority as outpatients since only the most serious are admitted to the 11-bed medical ward. Specialty outpatient clinics have been established to improve patient care, along with specialty medical training to manage diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension and SHCH is a member of MEDICAM, the membership organization for Non Government Organization's (NGO) active in the health sector in Cambodia.

Inspiring patient story and invitation to One Million celebration.
