MS CRM Dynamic – CRM in business

Almost all organizations require a software to manage their data centrally. Often the major driver for implementing CRM in business is the need for high quality sales processes and reporting. CRM software applications provide accurate forecasts and data for sales, marketing, and customer service operations. The MS CRM Dynamic structure offers a metadata capability, which allows this data to be easily retrievable for reports and dashboards.

Microsoft CRM Dynamic – Database Structure

The extremely flexible Microsoft CRM Dynamic structure enables the user to have full access of applications that are streamlined to provide the best virtual business environment possible. The security model is highly flexbile, yet prevents any unauthorized access to the files.  The overall structure of the software allows the deployment of smaller databases. Web services are used to control the platform layer, the goal of which is to make sure that the components function according to predetermined business workflow rules.

Business CRM Solutions

CRM in Business

Nowadays, small and mid-size businesses are utilizing the varied functions of open-source CRM software to streamline their business processes with hopes of generating more opportunities to make more sales. The reason why this is so is because these Open-source CRM solutions are capable of managing existing customers, facilitate prospecting, generate online sales leads, launch & track marketing campaigns, analyze customer needs and preferences, integrate with existing applications and provide secure access to the company database from any connected computer. But with all these technical hoopla, it is also best for the business to choose the right CRM that would be a right fit for the business.

Business CRM Tips

  1. When choosing a CRM software for a business, one must ensure that it has the ability to capture all relevant customer and sales related information. At the very least, a CRM solution must be able to easily record all interactions with the customers. This is one major advantage of a CRM software, where it has the ability to help collect, store, and share data to all departments in real time.
  2. Before deploying a CRM tool, the business must first understand its existing or predetermined sales and marketing workflow. By having sufficient knowledge of this data, it would be easier to spot a CRM software that can integrate with an existing process. If not, it would just be rendered useless by the sales and marketing team.
  3. It is very important for a business to consider the level of CRM customization that is available from the software. A CRM must be able to adapt to the existing directions of the business, not the other way around.
  4. The level of CRM integration with current business applications must be highly taken into consideration as well. For instance, the business would be better off to determine if the CRM tool can share or exchange data with the email client that is being used by the company. An import and export function for data mining and other sales analysis functions must also be emphasized.
  5. The level of CRM customer support must also be determined. Most CRM providers seem to have no in-depth focus on this aspect of customer reach.

Open-Source CRM Products

To save your business its precious time and money, it would be best to research on the best products out in the market that can respond to all these criteria. Here are the top 5 open-source CRM products that you can choose from:

  1. SugarCRM
  2. VTiger
  3. Daffodil
  4. Compiere
  5. Anteil

Make sure to test drive these products according to which works best for your company before deciding to choose.

CRM Integration to the Banking Industry

August 2nd, 2011 by

CRM Integration into the Banking System

CRM solutions are oftentimes perceived to be tools used by companies who are looking into improving existing customer relationships, marketing/research strategies for potential customers, and the total efficiency of internal teams in an organization. But with the advent of recent advancements in modern information technology, CRM is seeing a new frontier, the Banking Industry. CRM for the banking industry is an evolving concept that is being studied very closely by the movers and shakers in this industry. Vendors are now exploring various possibilities of developing the current CRM solutions architecture to be customized for bankers. Studies show that there are several banks that are willing to invest billions on CRM that will enhance their business operations. Similar to the existing intensity of competition among CRM developers, there is also a great competition among banks. Therefore, investing in CRM solutions that will give them the edge by gaining distinct features and differentiating themselves in the marketplace is a wise move for any bank.

CRM Investment for Banks

Investing in a CRM for the Banking Industry will yield a variety of solutions that will provide banks a positive visibility of customer accounts. This concept will help banks and bankers comprehend customers a lot better, provider greater customer value, gain upgrades, add financial products, and analyze customer data for research and marketing possible customers in the near future. Stakeholders of a bank often look for security, strength, and stability in their chosen bank. A well-defined CRM solutions software can give just that by providing stability, opportunities, and other benefits that are yielded by CRM customization features.

CRM Prospect for the Future

In the future, CRM developers will introduce CRM products for the banking industry that will use SaaS’ banking intelligence architecture in constructing a detailed pricing and product catalog, one that is very frequently used by most banks. The software will provide ideal support for bankers and customers in several transactions relevant to any banking system. This way, it would emphasize the need to identify the customers’ future needs and put together a structure that will enhance business practices for a brighter economic future.

Salesforce and What Else? (The Search for Better CRM Solutions)

July 26th, 2011 by

Finding Better Alternatives

The recent blog article by CRM analyst Lauren Carlson had acknowledged Salesforce.com as the leading CRM provider in the world today. This comment is made despite the differing opinions that are yielded in various CRM comparison surveys. Salesforce must have gotten this recognition because of its status as one of the first SaaS-based CRM products that were released in the market. However, the prevalent trend in the market today is to not patronize products that have lingered or have monopolized the industry for quite some time. CRM users are now looking into other options that would provide them a better alternative for their company and a more effective solution to their business processes. In this article, we will classify the top 5 alternative CRM solutions to Saleforce.com into 2 categories of focus: The amount of programs that can be integrated in to the CRM and the level of user support.

Integrated Programs

The first system that comes to mind when users try to compare CRM programs is Microsoft Dynamics CRM. It is perceived to be convenient in the level of integration because of the fact that it easily synchronizes with all the other Microsoft applications that almost every person in the planet is already aware of. That means that a company does not have to bother spending money and efforts in training its personnel on new programs anymore. However, that is hardly the need for any business whose objective is to seek an effective CRM solution. The next option would be Netsuite’s OneWorld CRM, known for its exceptional performance in accounting and ERP. It is also a program where users can expect a solid and complete integration because of tools that are useful for sales and service automation.

User-Friendly Applications

The third option is from Oracle with its latest release, CRM On-Demand 18. Its arrival is very significant due to the fact that it differs highly from Salesforce’s CRM software because of its single-tenant architecture, a huge drift from the usual expectations of Salesforce clients who have been used to the inconveniences of a multi-tenant structure. This setting is very important at the viewpoint of those who wanted data privacy and sole ownership of utilized software and hardware. The fourth option is Sage’s SalesLogix, which is known for its firm foundation in global enterprise business processes. That last but not the least option is SugarCRM, which is undoubtedly the world’s most popular and fast-rising CRM solution in the world today. This status is due to its exceptional ability to adapt to the business processes of the client rather than the usual trend of businesses adapting its processes to the CRM solution, a common Salesforce glitch. Sugar is also user-friendly and easy to assimilate into the business operations, having been packed with few but highly necessary tools to get pressure off the new user and enhancing productivity rates for the company.

3 CRM User Interface Facts That You Just Can’t Ignore

July 25th, 2011 by

1. Simpler is Better

For wanting to get the best out of their hard-earned money, users would always want to conduct their own independent and non-biased CRM Comparison surveys if only to get the most reliable results. One survey factor that would always surface within the top five would be whether a particular CRM solution is designed to make things easier for the business or not. Now that is a valid business need. Most businesses wanted a CRM solution that is simply designed for the average sales and customer service representative. SugarCRM consistently presents a simplified and organized user interface by brandishing a CRM program that is configured to allow users to focus more on selling to new customers and taking care of existing ones.

2. Need-Only Features

Salesforce.com is known for its “kitchen sink” type of user interface. This has been made obvious when veteran users try to compare CRM solutions from among each other. They find that Salesforce.com CRM solutions force its clients to endure features that will only slow down the processes of the business operations. For example, when Salesforce.com users turn on the Chatter™ feature in their CRM download, the entire monitor screen is dedicated to that chat window. This becomes too uncomfortable for the users as they will have to scroll down in order to find more useful features. On the other hand, Sugar has managed to dispose of unnecessary features and decided to give the user an option to choose his own features and get directly down to business.

3. A Perceptive User Interface

As the client impression of the CRM solution evolves into a more acceptable status, he tends to assimilate the CRM software into the normal flow of the business processes. This is very important because it means that more functions will be expected from the CRM that would be of great use for the business. The good news is that the modular design of SugarCRM allows for the user to easily add the functions within a user interface configuration that is highly intuitive. With Salesforce.com, a user is stuck with a complex and inflexible user interface.

J.P. Connelly, in his eWeek article “SugarCRM Gets it Right,” comments:

“SugarCRM goes two better on Salesforce.com, by offering its software as an on-premises install, and as an appliance that’s designed to be easily added to an existing IT infrastructure. These may be especially appealing to those organizations that, for whatever reason, can’t or won’t use a cloud-based application, in cases where the entire focus is on inside sales, or where the reliability of WAN connections is less than ideal. “
