Simplified Sales Process and Pipeline Stages with SugarCRM

We often get asked about which simple CRM tool best integrates the sales process for Sales Reps. We can recommend ACT, Microsoft CRM, Salesforce and SugarCRM as the top CRM software products available for Sales departements. This blog will focus on how Sugar excellently handles the Sales Process for users.

SugarCRM Sales Force Automation – Video

We created this video to help our clients understand the value that SugarCRM provides for sales forces.

SugarCRM Account Management

First of all, Sugar empowers Account Management. While ACT is contact-centric, (which might be preferable, depending on the environment), SugarCRM is Account-centric and thus provides and excellent overview of a Key Account. The Account view displays information regarding all involved contacts, leads, influences, opportunities, activities, histories, quotes, projects, and contracts.

SugarCRM Opportunity Management

Secondly, Sugar’s opportunity process is a breeze. Updating the Stage and Status of an Opportunity can be easily customized and more easily implemented by users. Need custom fields? Sugar’s got it.

Sales Workflow and Automation

Need workflow or automation in your sales process? Sugar’s got that built in. Once an event or meeting has occurred, it is now listed as a history item. Updating the status of an opportunity to “Closed Won” automatically updates the probability to 100%. This then affects the pipeline, which in turn simplifies reporting analysis for sales management.

Security within the Sales Process

Need Opportunity security? No worries. Sugar allows for simple or highly complex security models. Need to hide opportunities or accounts from certain users? No worries. Just create your teams and roles at the outset. Then limiting access for each new employee or sales rep is a 5 minute process!

SugarCRM Marketing Automation

Do you need a personal demo for this fantastic Open Source CRM solution? Then please call us for a free presentation. Our goal is to review with you your options. And our hope is that in the end you will feel well advised and look to us for further knowledge, training and services.

We’ll help you understand just how powerful this web based online customer management tool can be as a hosted sales CRM software - especially in an Open Source or Call Center software environment.

CRM for Nonprofit – Nonprofits tools with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

September 13th, 2012 by

Nonprofits using Customer Relationship Management

Non-profit organizations are increasingly using Customer Relationship Management software. CRM systems improve fundraising results by allowing organizations keep track and communicate with their constituencies in a more efficient way. CRM systems also allow the management team to focus on their mission rather than to deal with technology infrastructural. Microsoft Dynamics CRM is one of the lead CRM products that are constantly looking to assist nonprofit organizations meet their mission.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM helps Nonprofits succeed

If you want to install sample data for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM NonProfit Template, you simply need to open the solution from Settings (double-click on Solutions). After that, go to the Configuration page. You will want to hit the “Install Sample Data” link beneath the “Manage Sample Data” section on the right panel.

In order to check if sample data install is all there, just hit the “Check Sample Data Install Status” link. Then check if the “Status Reason” for all imports are Completed. This should populate the desired Sample Data and should be visible by loading your nonprofit dashboard, which should now be visible.

Below is a video that thoroughly explains the CRM benefits for non-profits:

Fundraising and Campaign Management in the MS CRM Nonprofit Template

The Microsoft blog highlights a few details of how this works. We summed up the details below:

  • Quick Campaigns. By using Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s Quick Campaigns function, setting up an ad-hoc fundraising effort doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. This will be your non-profit solution to your fundraising challenges. How might this work in a real campaign for a community-based charity raising money in response to, say, a building damaged by a storm? The Quick Campaigns feature can be triggered from several places, but you’ll most likely do this from Marketing Lists.
  • Marketing Lists. After selecting Marketing Lists in the Navigation Panel, the Quick Campaigns button appears at the top menu bar. Once clicked, a wizard pops-up, guiding you through a straightforward process. You can choose from several different channel options–email, phone, or fax.
  • Phone campaigns. These are very effective so let’s assume you choose the phone channel. In this case, you would enter the agent script in the pre-configured Phone form. The Phone form also includes a Notes area. Leave that blank since this is where your agents will record results of conversations–in terms of commitments or future follow-up plans.
  • Progress Monitoring. The progress of Quick Campaigns can be monitored as agents make calls and populate the Phone form. To do this, simply navigate to the Marketing area from the Navigation Pane, and then click on Quick Campaigns to bring up the active campaigns. There’s a Campaign Responses section, which can be viewed by campaign managers when they click on their specific campaign.
  • Workflows. Quick Campaigns may not be the answer to a more specialized kind of fundraising project. For that you’ll need to learn how to do form customizations and workflows.
